Kazakh president awards 'People's Hero' title to WWII veteran who raised flag over Berlin

ALMATY. May 6 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has posthumously awarded the title of "People's Hero" to Kenzhebay Madenov, a World War II veteran who helped hoist the Victory Banner over Berlin's city hall in 1945.
