Kazakh state enterprise accountant accused of embezzling $240,000 to gamble

ASTANA. Feb 12 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - An accountant with a gambling addiction, who worked at a state-owned enterprise in the West Kazakhstan region, embezzled 118 million tenge in state funds to fuel bets on a popular betting platform and buy a new car, prosecutors said Thursday.
